THE DANFORTH (GREEK TOWN)
The Danforth, also known as Greek town is home to Toronto's Greek community. In the 1970s and 80s this area was considered the largest Greek town in North America. Today the Danforth is still lined with Greek restaurants but other European style restaurants and pubs have moved in as well. The Danforth is best known for The Taste of the Danforth, a large street food festival which is held ever summer for 2 and a half days and showcases Greek food and culture.
